Civic & Public Space

Paddington Village, Liverpool

We are currently delivering a large, city centre public realm masterplan for Liverpool City Council as the first stage of their Knowledge Quarter Proposals.

The Paddington Place scheme builds on an initial commission for Kaplan International College as the first plot to be delivered on-site.

The brownfield site has a 16m level change from east to west, which we have overcome with a series of creatively designed level changes injecting drama into a variety of spaces, diverse in character and scale.

The proposed landscape will play an important role in unifying the Kaplan building within the wider site and future phases of the Paddington Place masterplan. Other plots now being taken forward include the Royal College of Physicians northern HQ, and PPI Cancer Research Centre.

As custodians of an overall site digital model, we were able to integrate the changing architectural proposals on a plot by plot basis to generate visualisations for consultation, design panel reviews, or simply marketing purposes.
